Hi guys! Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday. Today I thought I would share my beauty routine with you! I hope it is of any interest.
The first thing I do when I wake up is wash my face with a wet, cold cloth. I always use a rough washcloth to get a scrub feeling. I then use Kiehl’s Ultrafacial Cream for moisture – it’s an absolute favorite of mine. I used the Chanel Hydramax Active facial gel for about 5 years and loved it, but it’s not very budget friendly for a poor student. After looking for a cheaper (but just as good) moisturizer for over a year, I finally found the one from Kiehl’s. Just like the Chanel Hydramax, it has a gel-like consistency that absorbs into the skin immediately without leaving it greasy and/or oily.
Post-mosturizing I put on Estée Lauder’s DayWear Sheer Tint Release. If I was to recommend one product this would be it. I have been using it for ages, I don’t even know for how long. It is not a foundation, BB-cream or whatever. It is a tinted moisturizer that enhances and evens out your skintone with a beautiful glow, leaving your skin looking natural and fresh. It goes on untinted (the tint comes from your skin), therefore the cream is grey when it comes out of the tube (not to be alarmed!). It also has SPF 15.
After the tint release I always use my Lancôme Effacernes Longue Tenue concealer under mye eyes and at the nose wings. It is also SPF 15, and mine is in color No3 Beige Ambré.
As for the eyes, I apply a light, natural colored eyeshadow. The Chanel is a favorite, and also Chubby Stick from Clinique. Then I make winged cat eyes with Chanel Stylo Yeux eyeliner, and put Yves Saint Laurent Dessin Du Regard Long Lasting Eye Pencil on the lower waterline.
Then my brows get a fix-up with Yves Saint Laurent Dessin Des Sourcils Brow Pencil.
Last, but not least, I use an eyelash curler and put on two strokes of mascara on my upper lashes. I don’t always wear mascara, but when I do I’m not picky about which brand I use. I just buy whichever is on sale at H&M!
Before going to bed, I remove the makeup and wash my face in hot water. I then apply another one of my favorites, and a quite popular product all around as I understand it, the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. 3-4 drops is enough for face and neck.
And most important of all – always get enough sleep!
